Three Spéos students rewarded at Bièvres 2022!

The 58th International Photography Fair of Bièvres was held on June 4 and 5, 2022.
Three Spéos students were rewarded for their work by a jury presided by Thomas Goupille: Karine Bizard, Diane-Laure Mussy and Izaure Didat. The winners received generous gifts as part of their prizes. Congratulations to all!

Jean and André Fage Prize: Karine Bizard

Karine Bizard won the Jean and André Fage Award 2022.
Karine followed the Creative Documentary Course by Magnum Photos & Spéos.
She also won the Spéos 2022 end-of-year jury prize in Photoreportage.

Born in 1977, Karine was a defense attorney in Paris for many years, specialized in criminal law and protection of foreigners in France. She left her job in 2017 when relocating to Southeast Asia, still telling stories that matter albeit via a different medium: photography.

Young Photographer Award: Diane Laure Mussy

Diane-Laure Mussy won the Young Photographer Award.
Diane-Laure has completed The Entrepreneurial Photographer in 2 years course.
She also won the Spéos 2022 end of year jury prize in Fine Art.

Born in 1998, Diane-Laure Mussy lives and works in Paris. Through various series, she shows the world of the subtle and invisible in order to better understand and accept one’s own sensitivity. Her work brings out images bordering on the figurative and the abstract, using unconventional lighting, so as to create what she has imagined. She invites the viewers to let go emotionally and focus on colour and texture.

Izaure Didat won a special mention from the jury.
Izaure followed The Entrepreneurial Photographer in 2 years course.

Izaure Didat is a landscape and documentary photographer based in Paris, who is particularly interested in the situation of Reunion Island, where she is originally from.
