Px3 Prix de la Photographie: 3 Spéos winners in 2021!

Three Spéos graduates were awarded at the Px3 Paris Photography Prize competition in 2021. This Prize strives to promote an appreciation of photography, discover emerging talent, and introduce photographers from around the world to the artistic community of Paris. The Paris Photography Prize was founded in 2007, and has since become one of the most prestigious photography awards in Europe.

Spéos warmly congratulates Yi-Chen Lee, Zhenzhen Cao et Pedro Mendes Levier. Four Spéos alumni had already been rewarded in 2020 and four in 2019.

Yi-Chen Lee, a 2020 Spéos graduate, won an Honorable Mention of the PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris 2021 in the « Fine Arts / Nudes » category for his serie « Magnified ». Originally from Taiwan, Yi-Chen currently lives in Paris, focusing on social commentaries and questions dealing with identity and stereotypes. He graduated with the RNCP Photographer Title in 2 years in Paris.

Zhenzhen Cao, 2019 Spéos graduate, won an Honorable Mention of the PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris 2021 in the « Fine Art / Digitally Enhanced » category for her serie « Confinement on another planet ». A former graphic and motion designer, Zhenzhen now is a photographer and artist working between Paris and China. She obtained the RNCP Photographer Title in 1 year.

Pedro Mendes Levier won an Honorable Mention of the PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris 2021 in the« Portraiture/Family » category for his serie « Birth of Hope ». Brazilian documentary photographer, journalist and writer, Pedro Mendes Levier has 15 years of experience in multimedia storytelling. He is based between Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Paris, France. He is a Spéos 2020 graduate from the Creative Documentary Course by Magnum Photos & Spéos.
