Focus on Ksenia Usacheva
Ksenia Usacheva graduated from Spéos Professional Photography in 1 year program in 2014. Her series “Flower Illusions” and “Fashion Tales” were selected for the 2023 edition.
Ksenia Usacheva was born in 1991 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to Russian parents. She spent most of her schooling in Khabarovsk in the Far East. Passionate about painting since her childhood, she enjoys many hobbies in the artistic field. She studied graphic design in Florence (Italy) in 2012. Back in Russia, she continued her studies of photography in very advanced courses with famous Russian photographers.
She moved to Paris in 2013 where she completed the 1-year professional photography course. A very intense program, especially since she also shoots and creates. In order to improve her knowledge in art history and plastic techniques, she continued her studies at the University of Paris Sorbonne (Plastic Arts faculty).
Her activity has been growing ever since, with shoots all over the world. She also specialises in fashion and children’s photography, works with the great French and foreign designers, and takes part in fashion show photos behind the scenes of famous fashion houses.
As a journalist, she travels the world to carry out her photographic projects and has been featured in numerous national and international magazines. She presented her first solo exhibition in September 2017 at L’Institut du Monde Arabe. Ksenia Uchaseva’s work brings together various themes by mixing her knowledge of painting with photo technique. A dreamlike vision, full of details with sometimes a lot of colours, guided by the search for the sensitive reflecting perfectly her look and her imagination.
Focus on Jeanne Dubourg
Jeanne Dubourg graduated from the Spéos Fashion, Luxury and Beauty Photography program in 2022. Her series “Une nuit d’évasion” and “La Valse” have been selected for this 25th edition of the Picto de la Mode Prize.
Fashion photographer based in Paris, Jeanne Dubourg was born in 2002 and moved to Paris in 2020 to study photography. After her training at Spéos in 2022, she started to work in a studio in order to discover more deeply the world of fashion photography. Her work focuses on dreamlike situations in which women are highlighted. Attracted by the beauty of things and styling, she uses these elements to compose her photographs and thus tell stories. She likes to think of her images as confidences, allowing her to express deep thoughts. This coupled with the closeness she tries to establish with the viewer.
