Valentine de Villemeur, “Heritage”
Valentine de Villemeur will present “Heritage” at the Spéos Gallery, 7 rue Jules Vallès, 75011 Paris, from the 26th of March to 15th of May, 2024.

About the exhibition
Ballinasloe, a small town near Galway and Smithfield, a district of Dublin, welcomes their horse fair every year. In a country that is evolving and modernizing, the desire to keep traditions alive has become stronger. These fairs are a way for Irish Travellers to celebrate their culture and participate in the horse trade and sales, while for others, it is a way to enjoy the festivities.
About the photographer
Valentine de Villemeur is a French photographer who works primarily with film. As an observer of daily life, she finds inspiration in the everyday. Through her art, she wants to tell stories, capture moments of life, unusual and authentic details. She likes to play with color, light, shadows, reflections, and contrasts.
Valentine is a 2020 graduate of Spéos.
