Rossana Mendes Fonseca, “Animals”
Rossana Mendes Fonseca’s exhibition Animals at the Speos Gallery – 7 rue Jules Vallès, 75011 Paris, from January 12 to February 12, 2016.
Animals, Volume I and II consists of two connected series, which have been developed since 2011. The first series of six images depicts a body with an animal head, dressed in girly clothing, who lives through everyday situations. In the second series, the same 6 animal heads appear but this time worn by a male body. The colors, combined with their quotidian surroundings, create a distinctive atmosphere in which these hybrid characters dwell.
