Clara de Tezanos & JJ Estrada T. present “Cosmos” at the Speos Gallery – 7 rue Jules Vallès, 75011 Paris.
Exhibition from March 4th to April 4th, 2014.
Clara and JJ`s images each represent a part of a personal Cosmos, out of a calling for the distillation of being and its transformation into a higher state of consciousness. Inner and outer parallel worlds, all colliding in an intimate space of spiritual reflection, arranged in fantastic anomalies of the mind as a constant manifestation of our conscience. Questions preceding answers that precede questions that precede an answer.
This photographic practice is choreographed around the questioning of our perceived reality, sense of being and the duality of our existence. A fantastic narrative about the admiration and the awe of our perception and interpretation, centered on the search for identity, the conquest of the visible and invisible reconstructed through myths and reason. These imagery and metaphoric scenarios materialise the possibility of our existence through the casualties of observation in science, physics, dreams, and their relationship with time and space.
Clara de Tezanos (Speos 2007) and JJ Estrada T. have played an important role in the promotion of contemporary photography in Latin America.
