Christine Marie, “Sky”, Exhibition, Paris

Christine Marie presents Sky at the Speos Gallery – 7 rue Jules Vallès, 75011 Paris.
Exhibition from December 9, 2014 to January 9, 2015.

« My desire to photograph the sky with this unusual field of vision is related to several factors. The first motivation is a need to show some magic moments, so furtive, so rare but also unique and poetic. These moments are like paintings in perpetual motion, taking shape before our eyes. »

Christine Marie (1968), born in Lorient (Morbihan, France), grew up in a family who gave her this dreamlike vision, her grandmother was a painter and gave her her first brushes at the age of seven, her great-aunt was the first painter to go down into the coal mines of the North of France, her paternal grandfather was a passionate photographer and her father gave her her first camera at the age of ten and initiated her to the mysteries of the photography lab when she was a teenager. It is in the alchemy of the developers that her passion for photography was born. She deepened her photographic skills while attending the Speos Photography School in Paris (2001-2002).

Today she performs in parallel with the series of photographs Sky  (2003-2013), presented in 2012 at the Galerie 64bis during the exhibition « Aero-dynamic », actors’ portraits, theater posters as well as series of landscapes.
