Céline Travers, “Flow”
Céline Travers will present “Flow” at the Spéos Gallery, 7 rue Jules Vallès 75011 Paris, from February 12th to March 22nd, 2019.
Opening of the exhibition: February 12th, 2019, from 6pm to 9pm.
“Flow” is the combination of movement and water, which are inseparable in this series.
Movements are omnipresent, particularly in nature, where they are a sign of life or even revival, reflected in the softness of the light and the refreshing ocean sprays.
At the time of shooting or by digital retouching, “Flow” allows you to feel both the softness and the strength of the elements in motion, so as to let go, get lost, and caught by the moment.
Céline Travers was born in Valognes, Normandy, in 1978.
A state-certified dance teacher, she became a member of the French national skydiving team before turning to photography. She studied at Spéos Paris in 2001, before starting her career within Studio Peter Lindbergh.
Her family life brought her to the Arcachon Bay. She now works as independent photographer, collaborating with brands, as Air France, Decathlon or Deepend.
To escape, Céline explores the beaches at Arcachon Bay and has been developing the series “Flow“, with a sharp eye, patience and a lot of sensitivity.
Céline Travers is a Spéos Alumni 2001 from the Professional Photography in 1 year Program.
